    Non-existent support ! The only way to install your software is to disregard all security warnings ! At best this is unprofessional … at worst could lead to hacking & financial loss. Up your game.

      We’re sorry you feel this way.

      The Unifi software, available for PC or Mac, is a free alternative to a hardware-based Unifi controller.

      The web service the app sets up to run on your computer, which allows management of your Unifi devices, creates a self-signed security certificate, which will cause a web browser to issue a security alert.

      It is totally safe to trust, as the certificate is generated directly by the Unifi software app.

      There certainly are times you should be concerned about self-signed certificates, such as when you visit a website not made or installed by you.

      There are no known security issues with the software controller, and ignoring the SSL warning still means that there is encrypted data between your local Unifi Web service and any client accessing it, so there no need for concern on that front.
