We discovered this brand several years ago and immediately saw the potential to build this website to serve the local Australian market and make Ubiquiti products accessible and affordable. Yep, we love the brand so much, we built this site.
Who is Ubiquiti?
The company was founded in late 2003 in San Jose, California. The name “Ubiquiti” is an semi-acronym for Ubiquity, Integrity, Interoperability and Intelligence.
Ubiquiti is a leading manufacturer of mesh networking products, specifically wireless LAN and WiFi routers and access points.
It is traded on the NASDAQ and has enjoyed consistent growth as a company since listing.
Ubiquiti have a fantastic range of products and in the right environment can take you from a few dozens of devices to many thousands. They supply single band and dual band wireless solutions, Access Points, Routers, Repeaters, WiFi Antennas and Cables.

Unique Name, How Did it Come About?
Ubiquiti’s brand name is derived from the word “ubiquitous”, meaning “present, appearing, or found everywhere”, and we think it’s perfect.
Being sticklers for spelling, we’ve noticed several misspellings of the name. For example Ubiquity, Ubiqui, Ubiqiti, Ubiquit, Uniquiti, Ubiquitii and Ubiquitti. This is understandable, as the word itself is unusual. We’re listing these here not just to correct the common misspellings, but also to help Google know that we know about them too 🙂
Who is UBQ Store?
We sometimes are mistaken for Ubiquiti themselves. However, we’re just an Aussie IT company that loves their products, and decided to market them locally, to help spread the word about this cool brand.
We’ve been in the IT business since 2000, starting off in Perth providing general IT and networking expertise to local businesses.
These days, we’ve turned to the web to market our favourite products, and this website is the result of our respect for the great brand, which we of course use ourselves to build our own networks.
